United Healthcare offers its customers a wide range of actions available through their website as well as the ability to view various parts of information regarding a customer’s account or accounts. The company itself is centered around managed health care and they are one of the largest companies in the world. If you are an account holder with United Health Care, the following guide will walk you through the various things that you can do as well as how to set up an online account and log in to it.
Creating an Online Profile and Logging In
Before you can consider covering your bill online, you are going to have to go to the www.myuhc.com payment website and set up your online access. This can be done by clicking the “Register Now” button underneath the site login area. Upon clicking that link, which will take you to this page, you will have to start filling in all of the requested information, with the first page of the registration area asking you to enter your first and last name, birthdate, member ID and your group or account number. From there, click the “Next Step” button and continue on to set up your user name, password, security features and more.
After you have set up all of this information, go to the United Healthcare member home page at myuhc.com and you can sign in by filling in your user name and password into the fields marked as such, then click the “Login” button. After that, you will be logged in to the site and will be able to use the site as discussed below.
Make a United Healthcare Payment
To make your payment online for a claim made through United Healthcare, you are going to have to click the “Manage My Claims” link on the first page you see after signing in to your account (from here out we will refer to this page as the dashboard). After that, click the “My Claim Payments” on the left side of the screen in the “Claims & Accounts” area of the sidebar menu. Then, view the claim that you still need to make a payment on by clicking “View Claim” and you will be presented with a numerical and visual rundown of the data pertaining to that particular claim. Click the “Make Payment” button in the “At a Glance” area and follow the instructions given on the screen to complete your bill payment transaction.
Determine Your United Healthcare Benefits
Back at the dashboard, click the “Look up My Benefits” button in the “What would you like to do today?” area. In this section of the website, you will be able to look up the types of coverage and procedures that are available to you as a customer of United Healthcare. These include medical, pharmaceutical, dental, vision and more. Depending on the area of the Benefits & Coverage area that you are in will determine which of your plan’s details are being presented. It will also cover the type of inpatient and outpatient procedures, treatments and more that you can use should anything ever happen to you or a family member who is also a part of your United Healthcare account. For the most part, this section of the website will just require that you click your way through until finding the specific information that you are looking for.
Find a United Healthcare Accepted Doctor
From the dashboard and in the same area of the website as discussed in the previous section, you can click the button that is labeled “Find a Doctor” and you will be able to do exactly as the button implies. After clicking that button, there is an area presented where you have an option to either find a doctor, clinic or health facility based on their names, specialties, location or a specific condition that they will treat, you can click the “Find a Provider” button at the top middle of the screen. A popup window will appear which you can use to conduct the search for a doctor who seems suitable to you and your family’s needs.
On the other hand, if you need to personalize your search even more regarding options like the costs associated with that particular doctor, the quality that the doctor has been rated with or how well people with similar conditions to your own have been treated, you can click the second button in the middle of the page which is labeled “Find a Doctor for Patients like you.” After clicking that link, the search page is fairly different from the first one discussed in this section as instead of using a search box you will go through a series of questions concerning why you want to see a doctor, what type of specialties you need, and inform the site of what things (like patient load, gender preference, etc) you want your doctor to encapsulate. You will then be presented with a list of doctors to choose from, and they will all fall within your health plan.
